Ty Gwyn Kennels and Cattery were recently awarded ‘Business of the Year’ for Cardiff and the surrounding area by ‘Cwlwm Busnes Caerdydd’. The award was presented by Deputy Minister Ieuan Wyn Jones at the Hilton Hotel, Cardiff where over 120 guests attended.  The prize was for the recognition of a successful new business or enterprise that had been developed by a Welsh speaker and who is devoted to using the Welsh language in the everyday running of the business.  Ty Gwyn kennels and Cattery is a family run business located in Newton, Porthcawl.  The aim of the business is to provide the highest standard of professional care and service to all pets in a safe, friendly environment with the utmost in comfort, security and hygiene. Olive Corner the proprietor said “I was extremely delighted and thrilled but at the same time surprised to have won the prize.”  She went on to say, “I think the success of the business is due to our enthusiasm and dedication and also our experienced, knowledgeable and qualified staff”.
